Below that the costume is all texture - a caped duster hanging open and shot through with holes, its hem torn to ribbons, layered strips of shirt underneath, a worn belt and heavy boots. He stands mid-stride, the left hand spread wide on long taloned fingers, the right closed around a short-handled axe whose broad crescent blade is backed by three forged tines.
