Someone has to walk point into the dark, and this figure model kit portrays the Colonial Marine who did it without raising his voice. Corporal Dwayne Hicks, sculpted by Kuton Figurines, stands the way he does in Aliens (1986) — weapon shouldered, weight easy on one hip, the calm professional in a squad that is about to lose its nerve. Michael Biehn's quiet competence is the whole performance, and the sculpt reads it correctly.
Standing Easy, Kitted for the Worst
He is caught at rest rather than mid-action, rifle held muzzle-up against his right shoulder, left hand loose at his side. The loadout is where the sculpt earns its keep: a domed helmet with a lamp clamped to the band and a slim boom mic curving to the corner of his mouth, armour plates over the shoulders with a camera unit mounted on the left, a webbed harness hung with pouches, buckles and a row of shells, a bevelled groin plate, and strapped shin guards over laced boots. Turn him and the back is just as complete — a padded shotgun sheath running the length of his spine, a comms box between the shoulder blades, a sidearm riding his thigh and a fabric surface treatment that holds a wash beautifully. He stands on a low bevelled plinth inset with a strip of grated decking, keeping the presentation clean and letting the figure do the talking. Collectors chasing premium resin models with real kit-level detail will find plenty here to slow down over.
