The island of Colossa keeps its own monsters. This Cyclops figure model kit brings home the horned giant that came stalking out of The 7th Voyage of Sinbad in 1958 - a classic monster built from one great eye, one great horn and a stride heavy enough to crack the stones underfoot.
Plated Above, Shaggy Below
The sculpt tells its story in two textures. Above the waist the Cyclops is armoured in overlapping plates and studded warts that run in a ridged line down the spine and scatter across the shoulders and forearms; below it, dense shaggy fur falls in matted ropes to broad splayed feet. The head carries the piece - a single heavy-lidded eye beneath a jutting horn, ears swept back against the skull, a wide mouth crowded with blunt teeth. He stands braced mid-stride on a ruined circular base of cracked flagstones and toppled masonry, one clawed hand open and reaching, the other closed around a slender leaf-bladed spear. Two alternate portraits are included, one snarling with the jaw wide, and the spear can be left out entirely for a bare-handed display.
