The go-go dancer who lost a leg and gained an arsenal. This figure model kit brings Cherry Darling out of Planet Terror (2007) — Rose McGowan mid-stride, hair still travelling, a machine gun where her right leg used to be — as a movie character piece sculpted by Diklich Art with the swagger the role was built on.
Mid-Stride and Fully Loaded
She has been caught walking, not posing: weight rolling onto the boot, the rifle-leg swinging through, one hand loose at her side. The prosthetic is the centrepiece and it is sculpted like hardware rather than a prop — receiver, magazine, handguard and an underslung grenade launcher, socketed straight into a wrapped stump above the knee. Around it the wardrobe does the character work. A pleated bandeau top knots at the shoulders and ties in a small bow at the back; the mini skirt is clasped with tiny skulls and chains down the front and corset-laced up both sides behind; the surviving leg runs into a knee-high heeled boot buttoned to the calf, a charm chain at the ankle. At her throat, on a fine beaded necklace, hangs a pair of cherries — the sculpt naming itself. Even the plinth plays along, carrying raised block lettering at the front and the sculptor's mark at the back. Skin, worn leather, matte gunmetal and a lacquered heel: four surfaces on one figure, which is exactly why collectible resin figures like this one reward a careful palette.
