Some households run on gloom and keep it immaculate. This figure model kit from Diklich Art gives Morticia Addams the pedestal she was always owed, the matriarch Carolyn Jones played across the 1964 television series, composed and completely at home.
One Long Line, and a Great Deal of Poise
Diklich Art has sculpted this as a single unbroken silhouette. The gown is cut close from a deep neckline all the way to the floor, then breaks apart at the hem into the trailing points that made the shape famous, spilling out across the base rather than settling into anything so ordinary as a finished edge. Long fitted sleeves run the length of each arm and fray at the wrist into those same ragged tendrils, so every bit of movement in the piece happens at its edges. Her hair falls in heavy waves past the shoulder, one hand rises with the fingers half-curled while the other drifts down and open, and the face is the quiet center of it all: chin lifted, eyes turned aside, a smile that is barely committing to anything. Underneath, a round plinth carries her name in Gothic blackletter, so the display base is finished before a brush touches it.
