Something old woke under Derry, and it is done laughing. Pennywise - Winged Horror is a figure model kit from Julles Modelado that catches the thing behind the clown mid-change — clawed feet locked to a dead tree, vast tattered wings thrown open, and a scream that has given up on pretending to be funny.

The Shape Under the Clown

The wings carry this piece, and they are extraordinary. Two enormous membranes sweep up and out from the shoulders, stretched taut over long finger-bones, the skin worked in fine radiating creases and pocked scarring, the trailing edges shredded into ragged points and hooked spurs with a clawed thumb standing proud at each joint. Below them, Julles Modelado has kept the costume immaculately period: a deep pleated ruff at the throat, a ribbed tunic closed with three oversized pom-poms, a fluted peplum flaring at the waist, ballooning sleeves gathered at the cuff, and full pantaloons cinched above the ankle — every panel finely striated so it reads as silk rather than smooth resin. Where the disguise ends, the horror begins: the feet have become long scaled talons hooked around the trunk, and the face is pure predator — the huge domed forehead, the sculpted crest of hair swept into twin points, deep scored lines running from the crown down through the eyes and across the cheeks, and a mouth stretched wide around rows of needled teeth. It all stands on a barkless dead tree rising from a round stepped display base with a scrolled nameplate cartouche. A serious centrepiece for a shelf of collectible resin figures and premium resin models.
