Nothing but Teeth and Wrinkles
At bust scale a sculpt can afford detail a full figure never has room for, and this one spends all of it on the head. The domed skull is mapped with creases, a small cone cap sits on top with three pompoms bobbing on their stalks, and the ears sweep back into long points with hair streaming behind them in two heavy wings. The nose is a hard sphere. Under it the mouth opens into a grin that runs the full width of the face — a double row of tapering teeth, deep folds bracketing the jaw, the whole expression hovering exactly between a laugh and an appetite. The pleated collar spreads below it like a cushion and meets a round plinth carrying his name in bulb-lit fairground letters, with a few pieces of spilled popcorn left on the ledge. Two parts, one very deliberate silhouette, and enough wrinkle to keep a painter glazing all weekend. This is the kind of piece that anchors a shelf of collectible resin figures rather than simply joining one.
