The loop resets and the beach burns again. The Angel of Verdun - Rita Vrataski is a figure model kit from Kuton Figurines that catches the war's most dangerous soldier in the only quiet second she ever gets — one boot up on the rock, the helicopter rotor she fights with balanced across her shoulder, eyes already on the next wave.
The Full Metal Soldier
The pose is all coiled patience. She stands with her weight rolled onto the raised leg, the left hand up and closed around the grip of that enormous slab of a blade, the flat of it running out past her shoulder in one unbroken line — a silhouette you can read across a room. Kuton Figurines has built the sculpt around the contrast between the woman and the machinery: soft cloth sleeves, a rumpled collar and a plain zip pull against a chest rig of moulded plates, a webbing belt, strapped knee guards and heavy laced boots. Then the exo-frame takes over. Powered armatures run the full length of both legs in linkages, pistons and geared hip discs, hoses looping back to a ribbed power unit riding at the small of her back, with a rack of spare magazines and a stowed weapon slung along the arm brace. The portrait is the quiet triumph — hair swept hard back off a lined, weather-beaten face, jaw set, the expression of somebody who has already died today and expects to again. She stands on a broken rock outcrop that lifts the whole composition and gives the leg braces somewhere to plant. It is a demanding, rewarding build for anyone assembling a shelf of collectible resin figures and premium resin models.
