ZEZ Studios sculpts the Penguin as the comic villain at his most theatrical: a squat, barrel-chested body wrapped in a fur-collared tailcoat with feather-trimmed cuffs, a quilted waistcoat straining over the belly, a wide bow tie, pinstriped trousers and spats. The head is all character — a hooked beak of a nose, a monocle on its cord, a sneering grin of crooked teeth and a widow's peak of slicked hair. One hand lifts the top hat in greeting while the other holds the furled umbrella low, and he strides across a rubble base scattered with bat-shaped blades and a rubber duck. Flanking him are two of his penguin troops in riveted armour plate and antenna helmets, one squawking, one glaring.
