The Headless Horseman is a figure model kit from ZEZ Studios of the rider from Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, charging on a rearing horse with a flaming jack-o'-lantern held high over a graveyard of clawing spirits.
Rider, Horse and Graveyard
The horse rears up on its hind legs, mane and tail streaming, with a pointed plate across its face and the reins pulled tight. Its rider sits headless in the saddle, a torn cape ripping out behind him and a long coat buttoned up to the empty collar. His raised arm holds a carved jack-o'-lantern with a jagged, fanged grin, and flames pour from its top. Two skulls hang from the saddle on a knotted rope. Below, ghostly figures rise out of swirling shroud-like forms and claw up at the horse's legs, while a toppled stone cross lies across the rocky ground.
Look between the hooves for a gravestone carved with the name Ichabod Crane. The rider, horse, cape, spirits and base are split into separate parts, and the parts render shows the full breakdown.
Kit Options
Build him two ways. Displayed headless, he holds the flaming jack-o'-lantern aloft, ready to throw. Or set the jack-o'-lantern on his shoulders as his head and give him the double-bladed axe, raised high overhead.
