She is not waiting for the fight. This Mad Cat figure model kit, sculpted by Kuton Figurines, catches a fantasy warrior down on her haunches atop a huge skull, her sword stood point-up in front of her, weight loose and eyes half-shut - resting for exactly as long as she feels like resting.

Claws, Chain and a Blade Stood on End

Kuton Figurines gets a great deal out of a compact pose. She crouches with her knees wide and both hands closed on the grip of a long straight sword, the blade rising the full height of the figure and the crossguard sitting level across her lap - the silhouette is a cross, and it reads from the other side of a room. The costume is spare and sharply cut: a band edged with a row of sculpted claws, long fingerless sleeves to the elbow, chain and spike ornaments strapped at the upper arms, a small skull charm swinging at the waist, hard knee caps and chain-wrapped boots. Her hair is swept up into a heavy back-combed mass with a long braid falling forward over one shoulder and a curved lock cutting across one eye, and the face beneath it is half-lidded and faintly amused. She is balanced on a skull nearly as broad as she is - the sutures, brow ridge and eye socket all cut clean, her boots planted across its brow and the sword grip braced down between them - and the whole thing sits on a plain oval disc that keeps the attention on the pose.
