Sanctuary had a mother before it had a saviour. This figure model kit brings Lilith, the daughter of Mephisto and the architect of the world Diablo IV is fighting over, down onto the shelf in full ceremonial menace — sculpted by CA 3D Studios and voiced in the game by Carolyn Faber, she arrives wings open and arms lowered, less a monster than a monarch expecting to be knelt to.
A Crown of Horn and a Span of Wings
Everything about the sculpt is built to fill a room. An enormous swept crown of ribbed horns frames a serene, pale face with blank eyes, and the horn motif carries down through a scaled collar and a bladed shoulder guard. The bodice is a ribbed corset banded at the waist with a row of small square studs, opening into a long ragged gown slit to the thigh and trailing to a hem torn into rags, with wide draping sleeves falling from her lowered, long-clawed hands. A segmented barbed tail sweeps out behind her, and above it all a pair of vast membranous wings spread on clawed fingers, veined and translucent-thin at the edges. She is lifted clear of the ground on a base of upswept horn-like spires rising from broken rock, which turns the whole piece into a silhouette you can read across a room. Painters after a showpiece among premium resin models will have a long and happy time with the wing membranes alone.
