Filed horns, a chewed cigar, a fist of old stone. The Right Hand of Doom - Hellboy is a figure model kit from Kuton Figurines that puts Dark Horse's greatest reluctant hero exactly where he is happiest — up on broken rock, blade down, entirely unimpressed by whatever just crawled out of the dark.

Broken Rock and Old Stone

The pose is heavy, planted, and completely relaxed, which is the hardest thing to sculpt and the whole reason this one lands. He stands bare-chested with the weight rolled onto one leg, a long slender curved sword held low and loose in the left hand so the blade sweeps out clear of the base, and that famous right hand hanging like an anchor — a vast segmented gauntlet of cracked, plated stone, banded at the wrist and forearm, with blunt fingers the size of the rest of him. Kuton Figurines has pushed real anatomy underneath the myth: cabled forearms, a deeply cut torso, a broad sculpted back, and the tail curling out behind him in one lazy S. The costume is stripped right back to belted heavy trousers with padded, ribbed knee panels and scuffed low boots, which leaves all the attention on the head — and it deserves it. The horns are cut back to two flat discs above a brow of stacked, weathered creases, the sideburns run wide and thick, a small tuft sits under the lip, the hair is pulled into a short knot at the back, and a cigar is clamped in one corner of a mouth set somewhere between bored and dangerous. Underneath, a shattered slab base of split, angular rock gives him the height and the attitude. A genuinely satisfying build for a shelf of collectible resin figures and premium resin models.
