The Face Under the Face
Everything else stays exactly as it was, and that is what makes it land. The same shearling-collared coat hangs open over the zipped jacket and belted jeans, the same crowned medal sits high on the chest, the same drop earring swings at the jaw. Diklich Art changed only what the change is about: a heavy ridged brow driven down over slitted eyes, deep creases raked back from the nose, a wide snarling mouth crowded with fangs, and long hooked nails on the hand hanging free at his side. He is barefoot on the plinth - the small exact detail that says he did not walk here. The base carries THE LOST BOYS in raised letters with his name across the front edge.
